EVENT: DINE BNE CITY – E’CCO X WALTER’S
DATE: 7 June
TIME: 6:30 – 9:30pm
Executive chef Gert Pretorius (Water’s Steakhouse) collaborates with the legendary chef, Phillip Johnson (E’cco Bistro) in a spectacular NY Winter inspired six-course degustation, presented exclusively for the 2023 Dine BNE City program. Prepare to be amazed as they showcase their exceptional culinary skills, using premium ingredients and expert techniques honed over years in the industry.
Savour the rich flavours of the evening’s menu, starting with a comforting roasted tomato soup with grilled cheese. Feast on the succulent calvados aged pork loin served with parsnip, apple mustard, and a hint of wasabi leaf, followed by Winter pumpkin ravioli and steamed oxtail pudding. Finish with Roquefort dolce glühwein poached pear and goats’ cheese honey parfait, garnished with candied walnuts and fresh figs. BOOK HERE
EVENT: MACA CANCER 200 RIDE FOR RESEARCH FUNDRAISER
DATE: 15 JUNE
On Thursday 15th June, join Ecco Bistro in raising funds for the MACA Cancer 200 Ride for Research, a major fundraising event in WA for the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research. Before the 200km ride in October, each of the 13 cyclists needs to individually raise $2,500 to make it onto the starting line. Which is where your help is needed!
Come along for a fundraising extravaganza with live entertainment and charity auctions on the night. Tickets are $200 per person which includes:

MIELE EXPERIENCE CENTRE
EVENT: ‘ALL ABOUT ROASTING’
DATE: 21 JUNE
TIME: 11:00 – 12:30pm
Winter is all about comfort food, and what could be more comforting than a classic roast.
Cooking a roast is something every cook should know. Learn all about roasting with Miele’s culinary experts as they share hints and tips to ensure perfect results every time. In this 1.5 hour class, you will explore recipes for a meats and vegetables along with delicious sauces. BOOK HERE.

Our friends at Salt Meats Cheese have some amazing cooking classes coming your way this month:
- “Pizza Masterclass” – learn the secrets to curating authentic Italian pizza from scratch using the finest seasonal ingredients and techniques. Sip on a glass of wine/beer and graze your way through some antipasto as you wait in anticipation of your creation.
- “Knockout Gnocchi Making” – In this hands-on 2 hour cooking class you will learn how to make gnocchi, unlocking the secrets to expertly craft light, melt-in-the-mouth dumplings. Build a gnocchi repertoire to impress, as you learn the art of making the dough, shaping the gnocchi, and cooking it from scratch.
- “Pasta and Canoli Making” – Just imagine who you could impress if you were to master two ultimate Italian delights: pasta and cannoli. In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll learn how to create Salt Meat Cheese’s signature fettuccine from scratch with hands-on guidance from expert chefs using the finest seasonal ingredients and techniques. Then, you’ll learn how to make a sweetened cannoli ricotta cream to fill your cannoli shells and decorate them to your liking. An irresistible dessert!
