Forget the turkey this year – it’s butterflied organic chicken; whole-baked, salt-crust salmon; and handmade gnocchi with seasonal seafood we’ll be serving up this Christmas – thanks to signature recipes spilled from Australia’s most-lauded chefs.

Brisbane ‘foodies’ have the chance to learn from Australia’s top-hatted and up-and-coming chefs at Haven Newstead’s first-ever Food Legends Open Day, which is happening Saturday 14th December.

Create the ultimate Christmas feast this year with classic recipes from E’cco Bistro’s Philip Johnson and Short Order’s Callum Rogers.

Also, Miele’s Isobel Dreisenstock and Kym Pitt will teach us how to master the iconic Christmas dessert – the Australian pavlova.

The event coincides with the launch of Miele’s new Generation 7000 product range – setting a new benchmark in technology, obsessive craftsmanship, refined design.

Salt Meats Cheese: Freshly Made Gnocchi with Seasonal Seafood (Chef Silvio Bazzanella)

 

12:00-13:00
Miele: Master the Essential Aussie Christmas Dessert – Pavlova.

 

13:30-14:30
Short Order: Butterflied Organic Chicken, Served with Jocelyn’s Handmade flavoured butters. (Chef Callum Rogers)

 

15:00-16:00
E’cco Bistro: Whole Baked Salmon in Salt Crust, Fennel & Red Onion a la Grecque & Salsa Verde. (Chef, Philip Johnson)
